Message from the Head of Department.

Welcome to the Department of Building and Construction.

Construction is a core component in the realization of Kenya's grand vision of becoming a globally competitive country with a high quality of life. Our department is committed to providing competent graduates to meet the growing demand for a highly skilled and talented workforce in the sector.

We have modern facilities, tools, and equipment, coupled with highly skilled and talented trainers. Our main aim is to produce technically and practically oriented graduates.

To address the significant demand for skilled labor both nationally and internationally, our department offers the following programs:

  1. KNEC Programs:
  • Diploma in Building Technology
  • Craft Certificate in Building Technology
  • Artisan Certificate in Building Technology
  1. NITA Programs:
  • Plumbing Pipe Fitter Grade I, II, and III
  1. CBET - TVET CDACC Programs:
  • Building Technician Level 6
  • Masonry Level 4
  • Plumbing Level 3
  1. Short Courses:
  • Computer Aided Design (ArchiCAD)
  • Painting

Guided by market research, our staff also offer career guidance and mentorship programs to our trainees.

All our programs have intakes in September and May every year.
